Goodbye January 2011... Hello February 2011

Let me start out by stating that my Mom is finally getting better.. She was diagnosed with a kidney infection, kidney stones (the size of 1/2 dollars or a 50p coin)... and two collapsed lungs!! This week has been absolutely crazy, and now that she has finally come home, it is time for me to get back to studying... teaching... and well... lately I have been working towards a possible Photoshop certificate! I am hoping to be able to post more pictures soon, I just haven't had the time this week to take them! Good news for us, is that we are about to possibly have more snow! 

It is the last day of January, and it is time to think of Valentine's Day! Okay... I am not expecting anything, but it is nice to think about and to make crafts! William and I will begin Valentine crafts this week... Maybe a little history of why we have Valentine's Day (although I need to look it up first lol). Well, sorry this post hasn't been too interesting, but hopefully the next few will be better :)

Is Life Ever Normal?!?

Life... it is such a funny grand thing... One minute everything is fine, the next you are running to the hospital... Yes, that's right.. I am sitting in the hospital right now.. No, not for me.. but for my mother... one of the most important people in my life.. and she is sick... very sick... she has Pyelonephritis... which is a kidney infection and although it may not seem as important as cancer, HIV or any other major illness...it is very serious... and could have been fatal if the bacteria had reached the blood stream.. If anything, this experience has taught me that it is very very important only to pay close attention when someone close to you is ill.. but also to let every close loved one know how much you love them!

I do not know what I would do without my mother... or any other close friend... All of you know who you are... and I just want you to know that I love all of you!!! Also, I would like to thank everyone who has written us messages, they are greatly appreciated!!! 

One Day of Snow...

We had snow today!!! Although it wasn't much...we still had a crazy day! William and I went outside to take some pictures, and at the end.. I will tell you the terrifying experience that made him decide to never play again in the snow...

William and I played outside for a few hours.. and then he decided to remove his gloves... Then against my wishes, decided to run towards the house, slipped on some ice and his freezing cold hands hit the pavement (I am sure you all know how it hurts worse when you are cold).. He then cried and screamed for 25 minutes because his hands were purple and his "blood froze" and his hands were going to fall off.. So, in the end, he has decided he will never play in the snow again.. or at least not without gloves!

A New Addition to the Family

As of December 31, 2010, I became a mother... a foster mother... to Rocco, an English Bulldog which was left in a shelter. He is the most loving and adorable dog I have ever met and he always wants to be near you! Unfortunately, he can't hear well, and he has an eye infection that has to be treated everyday, but otherwise, he is just perfect! I have always wanted an English Bulldog, and he is my first! I have taken the time to take some pictures of him... and here are a few....

Now that is all the pictures I have taken so far, but I will start to take some more, and I have been trying to take pictures everyday... kind of one of those year or memories type things... So I will start posting them on this blog too! Once again.. I hope you had a wonderful New Year!!!
